Why am I always tired - Is it Perimenopause?

perimenopause

Are you feeling tired all the time and wondering if it could be related to perimenopause?

If you’re a woman over 40 feeling constantly tired, and you might be worried it could be something more than just the usual stress you used to feel, this video will help you.

Because I’m going to share what many women in their 40s and 50s are experiencing. And it could be related to perimenopause.

My name is Miyako Hazama, a Menopause Energy Expert.

I help busy professional women in perimenopause and menopause relieve their challenges naturally by tapping into the little-known Asian Energenic fountain of youth.

As you reach perimenopause, many women feel like their body is betraying them as they experience various physical changes.

But here's the good news. You don't have to suffer in silence.

So in this post, I’m going to share what perimenopausal fatigue looks like and the 3 major causes of fatigue.

At the end, I’m also going to give you my best tip to deal with tiredness and start feeling better.

As you may or may not know, perimenopause is the transition period leading up to menopause. For most women, it can start as early as in their 40s and can last 7-10 years.

In fact, according to data from the National Institute of Health, nearly half (47%) of peri-menopausal women reported symptoms of physical and mental exhaustion. So if you're having that extreme tiredness, you’re not alone.

You may be wondering how perimenopausal fatigue is different from other types of tiredness you used to have.

What perimenopausal fatigue looks like

First of all, it could be pretty rough.

In your early years, you may feel tired from time to time, and that’s normal. And when you take a nap, you’d feel better quickly.

But what often happens in perimenopause is more like a constant, heavy feeling that doesn't really go away. It’s like accumulating a pile of dust that makes you feel dull and uninspired even after a full night's sleep.

And it's not just the fatigue. It's also the brain fog and irritability that can make it hard to function during the day.

Plus, it often comes with hot flashes and night sweats, which can really disrupt your sleep. It's like your body is just going through this major transition, and it's not easy.

Sound familiar?

You want to understand that it's not unusual to feel this way and not be too hard on yourself.

3 Major Causes of Fatigue

What's happening to your body? So here are three major causes of perimenopause fatigue.

     1. Hormonal fluctuations

During perimenopause, women may face a hormonal rollercoaster - their estrogen and progesterone levels can vary greatly, sometimes leading to fatigue.

Your body is just going through this major transition.

These changes can make you feel tired and run down, and it can take a toll on your energy levels.

     2. Sleep disturbances

Perimenopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats can interfere with your sleep quality, leading to feelings of fatigue during the day.

     3. Stress lifestyle factors

Intense stress levels at work and in family life, poor nutrition, and lack of physical activity can also contribute to fatigue during perimenopause.

What do to?

So what can you do about it?

It's important to take care of yourself during this time. I imagine you have all those to-do lists at work and at home. But just know that your body is working hard to adjust to the changes.

There are several things you can do to help improve your energy levels. Such as,

  •   Prioritizing your sleep
  •   Getting regular exercise,
  •   Eating a healthy diet

A New Way of Dealing with Fatigue

But there is a new, natural, and most effective way to start feeling better now and elevate your energy.

So I want to give you the extra bonus, my best tip that I teach my students. That is to establish the habit of deeper breathing.

When they learned special breathing that allowed them to feel relaxed and energized, my students were surprised that they’d been ignoring their breathing for such a long time. It’s like the air that surrounds us, we tend to take it so lightly.

But did you know that there is an incredible, hidden power in your breathing?

Story of Jane

You may be wondering if this really works - so let me share with you the story of Jane.

Jane was finding it hard to keep going because she was so tired all the time. This was caused by menopause.

Nothing seemed to help, no matter how hard she tried or the treatments she sought out. She was desperate for relief.

One day, Jane came across my email about breathing techniques that could help manage fatigue caused by perimenopause.

It sounded too good to be true, and Jane was skeptical. But she was so desperate that she decided to give it a try.

She felt a bit doubtful at first, but she decided to practice it for 10 minutes during her walk time almost every day.

Eventually, she noticed that she was feeling less tired after hours of work.

After weeks of commitment, one morning, Jane woke up feeling refreshed- something which hadn't happened for months!

Since then, Jane has continued to use this method every single day and is overjoyed with the results; every morning brings increased energy levels.

She is incredibly thankful for finding a natural and efficient way of letting go of the awful heavy effects of menopause.

The best thing about it is that there is no side effect. Well, the only side effect is that you feel better.

If you are in the midst of fatigue in perimenopause, make sure to:

  • Check your sleep
  • Do your exercise
  • Watch your diet, (and most importantly),
  • Establish the habit of deeper breathing.

Let me know how you’re dealing with tiredness during these challenging stages in life.
